A fresh new start for outdoor advertising

Aiming to revitalize and update the history of billboards for the 21st century, the city of West Hollywood, through the Sunset Arts & Advertising program, approved a set of new regulations and partnerships with a specific purpose: to integrate billboards, architecture, public art, and entertainment. Therefore, it presupposes a fresh new start to the whole set, not only in the material format. What will be the next steps in outdoor advertising?

This program will allow the implementation of the new billboards on the Sunset Strip, the most popular route in West Hollywood, California.

Until now, the city already has the pilot project on display: Sunset Spectacular with about 20 meters. According to the project’s CEO, interviewed by The Guardian: “Sunset Spectacular signals a new path for outdoor advertising and public art that is interactive, livable and programmed”.
