Photographic vagabondage inspired by Disquiet

Abstract: This project originated with the purpose of envisioning photographs for The Book of Disquiet, exploring the interconnection between literature and geographic space. The photographed locations are mostly associated with the life and work of Fernando Pessoa. The passage of time has imprinted a nostalgia on these places that photography is still capable of perpetuating, before the new demands of tourism definitively alter the territorial identity. The introductory text to the images emerged when I sought to explain the experience and
serves as a guide to connect with something beyond the landscape itself, a sensation I capture from those places, a result of the empathy provoked by Pessoa.
