Imaginary Topographies

The Imaginary Topographies series of commented screenings is an initiative of the Lisbon Municipal Archive | Video Library, which has been running since 2005, with the aim of mapping the encounter between cinema and the city of Lisbon. Based on cycles such as “Architecture I” (2015), “Architecture II” (2016), “Architecture III” (2017), “Lisbon, city of the south” (2017), “The city as studio” (2018), “The sound of the city in cinema I” (2019), “The sound of the city in cinema II” (2022) and “From Punk to Near Silence I” (2023), Imaginary Topographies proposes to explore how cinema imagines, reconfigures and interferes with the topography of the city of Lisbon.
