Portugal SLAM

Created in 2014, Portugal SLAM is a national platform from Portugal that is dedicated to the dissemination and practice of Poetry Slam, a performative form of poetry in the form of a competition. The platform is managed and promoted by representatives of various groups and associations that promote this type of event throughout the country.

In addition to supporting local championships and the National Festival, Portugal SLAM works closely with grassroots communities throughout the year, as well as in schools, libraries and cultural spaces. The platform organizes workshops and various literary activities, promoting Poetry Slam as an educational and social integration tool.
