Walk around the city- Verônica Veloso

The doctoral thesis, published in the scope of the School of Communication and Arts at the University of S. Paulo, aims to observe the mode of operation of contemporary art based on walking and investigate how accessible it makes itself to the viewer, how inclusive, relational and horizontal it is. Throughout the work, the author observes modalities of walking: walks, drifts, escapes, pursuits and crossings performed by artists from different origins (from theatre to land art, dance to conceptual art, performance to reality) and, in some cases, by spectators or passers-by.
