The sounds of Braga
The Virtual Museum of Lusophony launched the exhibition “The sounds of Braga: the instruments, popular art and the rhythms of a Portuguese city of medieval origin” on the Google Arts & Culture platform.
Throughout the initiative, the region’s music is covered by a virtual tour that features interviews with names from the music scene, instruments, rhythms, and sounds that are part of the city’s collective memory, providing to the viewer a multisensory experience.
According to the project, “the exhibition was curated to present the multicultural, artistic and popular side of the region’s vast tradition, which at the same time harbor a diverse population with multiple origins”.
