Urban Imaginaries – book

Synopsis: Urban Imaginaries, by the well-known Colombian philosopher and researcher Armando Silva, has become: a category for studying cities, under the approach developed by the new cultural sciences that analyze the urban from the sketches of citizens; a metaphor for referring to the city as an aesthetic event; a title for exhibitions that unite city and art as a way of promoting academic meetings to debate the city in the third millennium; an inquiry by a sociology that asks about the city of the future; or the denomination given by social psychoanalysts to evoke the effects of imagination on reality.
