GAU – Galeria de Arte Urbana

GAU – Galeria de Arte Urbana (Urban Art Gallery) – is a platform created by the Lisbon City Council that develops a strategy dedicated to safeguarding the city’s artistic and cultural heritage. Simultaneously, it seeks to raise awareness and promote new expressions of urban visual art.

In addition to some interventions throughout the city, GAU is also on Google Arts & Culture, a place where images shared by audiences are available. The platform allows virtual tours through Lisbon areas.
