ETNO.URB — Urban Etnography Network | Platform

ETNO.URB — Rede de Etnografia Urbana [ETNO.URB — Urban Etnography Network] — is a collaborative platform dedicated to research and reflection on contemporary urban dynamics, with a particular focus on ethnographic methodologies. Formalized in 2016 within the framework of the FCT/CAPES agreement “Cities in Transition: Participatory Processes in Portugal and Brazil”, the network stems from over a decade of cooperation among researchers and institutions from Portugal, Brazil, Catalonia, France, and the United States.

Currently, ETNO.URB is coordinated by Lígia Ferro (IS-FLUP), Patrícia Pereira (CICS-NOVA), Rita Cachado (CIES-Iscte), Manuel Garcia-Ruiz (CIES-Iscte), and Renata de Sá Gonçalves (UFF), establishing itself as a space for academic exchange and knowledge production on cities in transformation.
