Dentro da Cidade – Inside the city

Dentro da Cidade is a documentary series authored by architect Gomes Fernandes, focusing on the city of Porto. The contents, available in the RTP archive, were collected in 1978, in a post-revolutionary period, reflecting “on urban planning issues in the city of Porto, with emphasis on the daily movement in its streets, the arrival of people who come from villages aiming for better living conditions, and the impact on planning and urbanization.” Directed by António Faria, Dentro da Cidade consists of six episodes, which explore themes such as the right to the city, the city, and children, or the light and shadow of the city.
