Cultural citizenship and artistic literacy: leisure and knowledge in museums and cybermuseums of the creative city
“An almost inhospitable social and cultural continent has emerged in recent decades, where citizenship learning takes place: the informal territories of consumption of culture, leisure, games and information. There, an informal formation takes place, in opposition or in complement to the formal training provided by the school institution In one of these arenas – the art museum – informal training allows, for example, the construction of artistic literacy, which consists of the communication process structured by reading and writing typical of artistic activities, specifically in within the production of the work of art, through its mediation by the museum, and in its consumption In the advanced / post-modernity, the unprecedented ‘multicultural and hybrid literacy’ also emerges. Such literacy figurations, in articulation with public opinions local, national and global, contribute to the recent investment in cultural citizenship by the inhabitant of the city, especially in the framework of creative cities “.
