Cartophonies

The Cartophonies website explores the contemporary sound experience by creating a sound map of different locations around the world. Each sound fragment is located, dated, annotated, and classified, based on research developed about cities and architectures.

The available recordings were made between 1979 and 2020 by the CRESSON laboratory of the Grenoble School of architecture.
