Urban ethnography, an interdisciplinary field of knowledge?

In the paper Urban Ethnography, an interdisciplinary field of knowledge?, the anthropologist Rita Cachado contextualizes urban ethnography as a method and a scientific approach, used by social and human scientists from the most different areas, mainly Anthropology, but also Sociology, History, Geography, Architecture, and Political Science.

The paper seeks to answer practical questions about urban ethnography: how this methodology is usually used in Portugal and what are the possibilities to contribute to the most varied academic research.
