Activism in New York

The Museum of the City of New York’s Activist New York exhibition, which reflects on the different social movements related to activism throughout the city’s history, is now online. Bringing together documents, it traces the history of activism from the 17th century to the present day. According to the organization, “using artifacts, photographs, audio and visual presentations, as well as interactive components that seek to tell the story of activism in the five boroughs past and present, Activist New York presents the passions and conflicts that underlie the city’s history of agitation.”
