Urban art: strategies for revitalizing degraded public spaces

This dissertation presents a study and reflection on the influence of Urban Art in the urban environment, more specifically in public spaces that are in disrepair, with the aim of elucidating and exposing the potential that art offers these spaces as a tool for their revitalization. Degraded public spaces are a constant reality in our world and there have been many initiatives to restore them through urban art. These interventions are the starting point for raising issues such as the dialog that is established with the space, altering it, exploring its creative potential and at the same time contributing to a better experience in the public space, improving the lives of those who use it. Urban Art is emerging as a need that is materializing in the growing number of collaborative projects that also value aesthetics, but above all the reconstruction of the social fabric. Access here.
