Algarve Sound Archive

The Algarve Sound Archive (ASPA, in Portuguese) is a project of the Associação Fungo Azul, coordinated by musician and sound designer Carlos Norton. Since the project (supported by the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve) began in 2016, four hundred sounds of the Algarve landscape have been collected. These records are available on a sound map, which covers the entire Algarve territory, from the interior to the coast. This archive is composed of collection points as diverse as the Cape of São Vicente, the Largo dos Chorões, in Mochique, or the Roman Bridge of Tavira.
