Travel and utopia in the social architecture of reason

Through the combined reading of founding texts of Science and narratives of the utopian society, from the 17th Century, the relation between travel and utopia is thought with a focus on the discursive process of elaboration of knowledge, on the levels of the subject, the course and the constructed object (Science, society), and studies through the perspective of the continuity between the ambiguous geography of reason and the ambivalent architecture of the edified social order.
