A cidade é uma só? [Is there a single city?]

In this documentary-fiction originally released in 2011, director Adirley Queirós looks at the construction of the city of Brasília, Brazil’s capital. Alluding to the jingle “the city is one” from the 1970 Campaign to Eradicate Invasions (CEI), the documentary-fiction deals with issues of urban displacement, rural exodus and the creation of peripheral communities, as well as satellite towns, around the great capital. The documentary is available for free (in Portuguese) on YouTube.
