1960 – documentary
Synopsis: Presented at the 37th São Paulo Film Festival in Brazil and at DocLisboa 2013, “1960” was awarded Best Film at the 17th Luso-Brazilian Film Festival in Santa Maria da Feira. In 1960, architect Fernando Távora (1923-2005) spent five months traveling the world, recording his impressions of the countries he visited. Half a century later, Rodrigo Areias takes Távora’s writings, gives them to actor Marcos Barbosa to read and uses them to soundtrack a series of Super 8 images filmed in those same places.
