Zara Pinto-Coelho
Zara Pinto-Coelho is an Associate Professor at the Department of Communication Sciences of the University of Minho. She got her PhD in Communication Sciences, Semiotics field, from the University of Minho, in 2003. She is a member of the Directive Commission of the Communication and Society Studies Centre as director of the research group “Cultural Studies”. She teaches in the areas of Discourse Studies, Image, and Sociology of Communication. Her current research interests intersect issues associated with gender inequalities and political participation through discourse and image.
