Rui Travasso

Rui Travasso holds a PhD in Digital Media Art (UAb/UAlg), is a Visiting Adjunct Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Beja, and a Visiting Assistant Professor at Universidade Aberta. His research combines performing arts, multimedia communication, and interactive technology, focusing on instrumental expansion and algorithm-mediated performance ecologies, as well as pedagogy related to the field of Audiovisual and Media Production. He has participated in projects funded by DGArtes and Fundação GDA, integrating artistic production and applied research. His artistic practice includes a decade as clarinet section leader in the Algarve Orchestra, interactive performances, audiovisual systems, sound experimentation with an emphasis on inclusion and cultural mediation, and he has over a hundred published tracks.
