Lucas Novais

Lucas Novais has a master’s degree in African Studies from the EIMAS (European Interdisciplinary Master African Studies) Programme, an Eramus Mundus Joint Masters Degree (EMJMD) that includes the Universidade do Porto, Universität Bayreuth and Université Bordeaux-Montaigne. Lucas also has a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the Universidade São Judas Tadeu, where he also had a scholarship. His professional experience can be summarized in over 10 years in the Customer Experience area.

Through EIMAS’ interdisciplinarity, Lucas dedicated himself to cultural anthropology, presenting an autoethnographic Master Thesis that aimed to understand the (possible) impacts of an Urban Quilombo in São Paulo for the cultural identities of those that visit it.

He is currently a scholarship holder at Passeio. His current interests are still tied to the themes of urban anthropology, cultural identity, ethnoraciality and sense of belonging in the world.
