Ece Canlı

Ece Canlı(PhD) is a researcher, artist and musician. Her research focuses on the politics of the body, gender, sexuality and (de)colonialism, and involves extended techniques of voice, performance and text as a way to explore the limits and possibilities of the sound body in order to re-articulate marginal narratives. She is a founding member of the research collective Decolonising Design Group and currently a researcher at the Centre for Communication and Society Studies at the University of Minho (CECS), where she researches the conditions and implications of ‘queer incarceration’ from the point of view of materiality – body, design, architecture and emerging technologies.
