PART I
Fundamental Laws of Kinetic and Potential Transboundary Movements
MOVEMENT 03
Third Law: Action is always equal to reaction, or the action of two bodies on each other is constantly equal but in opposite directions, i.e. for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction (Law of Action and Reaction).
The train is modest. Which means that it has some mileage age-wise, being minimalistic in comfort, it allows you to open windows and has bench seats. It carries few people, and it stops every now and then, in fact, each time there is a small cluster of houses it justifies the station. Closer and closer to the destination, fewer and fewer people get on the bus. Only those crossing the border remain, and they can be counted on the fingers of one hand. Beli Manastir is a Croatian town on the border with Hungary. The movements at the train station are reminiscent of child’s play. Like a game of catch. The train from Hungary stops there. It disembarks [the passengers] and returns home. It doesn’t stay long. On the next track is another train, in a different color, to show that it’s Croatian. This one will follow shortly after, into Croatia. It will return to disembark other passengers, wave to the foreign train and set off again. Several times a day, day after day, the two trains move apart and come closer together, in this game of repetitive movements, without ever touching. Just a nod, a complicit glance.
