Bodies in Motion Workshop | Training Workshops/ICS

Summary: Group dynamics and music with basketballs are used as a pretext to develop situations, dialogues, positions, learnings, and mobilizations that lead to questioning social roles, bodies, and professional perspectives. Group facilitation strategies are identified. The workshop is aimed at the entire ICS community: students, researchers, teachers, technicians, scholarship holders, and others.

Instructor: Josep Maria Aragay Borràs
Bio: Josep studied Social Education and Music Therapy, specializing in community and political work through the arts. He is the creator and director of the Basket Beat project, which trains more than a thousand professionals each year. He is a Professor of Creativity in the Sociocultural Animation Program of the Department of Social Careers at the University of Paris-Est Créteil and collaborates in several postgraduate and master’s programs. He is a member of the GIAS research group – Lenguajes artísticos y acción social (Artistic Languages and Social Action) – at the Pere Tarrés Faculty of Ramon Llull University. He has published numerous articles and books and directs the Community Arts Festival of Catalonia. He currently uses his own body as a field of dissident research.
