Urban imaginaries – conference

The ICHT conference have been held since 2016 alternating between Brazil and France, with the latest edition being held in a hybrid form based in Saint-Étienne in France in 2021. The aim of these colloquial meetings continues to be the recognition and renewal of research into the relationship between imaginaries and building and inhabiting the Earth, from a transdisciplinary and international perspective that integrates reflective, critical and design aspects. ICHT is an event conceived and organized by professors-researchers from FAUUSP in partnership with colleagues from UFPE, the Université de Lyon and SENAC/SP. Its fifth edition, in 2023, will include a face-to-face meeting in São Paulo, between October 30 and November 1, with the aim of deepening the scientific debate on the issues raised. The 2023 edition will be held in person in São Paulo, between October 30 and November 1, and will unfold with external practical activities held in the city of Recife, in interaction with UFPE, between November 6 and 8. This fifth edition of the Franco-Brazilian event aims to continue and deepen the questions, themes and reflections of previous editions, stimulating, in particular, the approach to urban imaginaries for the 21st century.
