II International Meeting Todas as Artes | Todos os Nomes

The II International Meeting Todas as Artes | Todos os Nomes is taking place between July 1st and 2nd, 2021, at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto (FLUP).

The meeting is part of an initiative of the Network Group Todas as Artes | Todos os Nomes. Since its creation in 2016, the collective promotes in its events and publications the convergence, communication, and exchange between art researchers in the areas of Sociology, Anthropology, Cultural Studies, History, and the Arts. Ricardo Campos, an anthropologist, and a Passeio’s member, integrates the event’s scientific committee.

Bringing together Portuguese, Brazilian, and other nationalities researchers, the communications and exhibitions gathered at this event present research results and intend to stimulate debates around the study of art, in an understanding that this study enhances the plasticity and creativity of contemporary thinking about the most different experiences and events in social life.

Among the sessions scheduled for Thursday, July 1st, Helena Pires, coordinator of Passeio, will present the communication The imaginary of cafes in the visual arts. How is everyday social life designed?
