Call for Papers – VISTA: Journal of Visual Culture | Photographic Portrait: Convergences, Divergences, Reflections and Thoughts (No. 16)

Until May 31, 2025, the call for papers for VISTA – Journal of Visual Culture’s special issue “Photographic Portrait: Convergences, Divergences, Reflections and Thoughts” is open. The proposal is to bring together research that critically addresses the photographic portrait as a multifaceted object, contemplating perspectives from areas such as the history of photography, philosophy of art and photography, visual culture, visual anthropology, communication and gender studies, among others.

The call for papers accepts submissions in Portuguese or English, and selected texts will be published in both languages.
