Book Launch | Cenas e Vistas d’A Brasileira
On September 25th, at A Brasileira, Passeio launched the book Cenas e vistas d’A Brasileira. Like other historic cafes, A Brasileira is recognized for being part of the trade with heritage value in Braga. The book, which reveals the different ways in which those who attend A Brasileira appropriate coffee in their daily lives, seeks to contribute to the sense of community in the city.
The publication, which has the support of the Braga City Council and the Center for Communication and Society Studies – CECS -, came after more than a year of immersion of Passeio’s researchers in the daily life of the coffee shop, with notes taken in the field, informal conversations, interviews with regulars, as well as some of its employees.
Among the guests, at the launch table were Lídia Dias, councilor of the Braga City Council, Moisés de Lemos Martins, director of CECS, Helena Pires, one of the authors of the book and Eduardo Jorge Madureira, journalist and responsible for the first reading of the book to other guests.
The book was published in physical version, available on Centésima Página and in digital version.
